Nezahualcoyotl

This series is based on the poems of the poet/king of Texcoco Nezahualcoyotl. The frames are painted wood. The background surface is paper mache painted with many layers of watered down acrylic and finally scrubbed with brushes, rags and brooms. The figures are also paper mache and in some cases the heads are polymer clay.
